2018 Winterstudy

The Wolf Moose Winterstudy has bugun. The Crew helicoptered over and did a quick survey on the 16th. I checked the Wolf Moose site, no pics. FB had pics. https://www.facebook.com/Wolves-and-Moose-of-Isle-Royale-153522341415661/?hc_ref=ARSo_K9JSrNfvEV9swGKCdUPsXeRD6ZW9qCYGulpE3GHnn6JYfE4-kfvIQLwakKAJ5s

The trails will most likely be muddy particualrly if there is a late snow melt. We usually take the VII. I know we have been able to buy things at the Rock Harbor store M...

Re: Campsite Descriptions

I think MikeT either has, or is working on a collection of images of the plaques at each campsite that show location.

Kinsman Indpendant runs aground off Isle Royale

On Nov 24th, 1990, the freighter Kinsman Independant ran aground off the entrance to Siskiwit Bay. The details are sketchy other than the vessel was 25 miles outside the shipping lane. I have not been able to find more info other than this link from a book. Had never heard of this. https://books.goo...
