I remember a cabin just before the dock at Daisy that had a spigot. Simialr to the ranger cabin at Belle Isle.

I’d be willing to haul shelter supplies to the interior of the island if there was a team of people to do it with me and on that team there were people that had the skill knowledge to build the shelters. I love shelters :) On that note it would be nice if Hatchet Lake and Lake Richie had shelters. ...

There was an oil spill inthe straits. Not the pipeline that goes under the bridge but leaking oil from electric power transmission lines.

The trees along the Greenstone may have started leafing out. If you are in Rock Harbor, a hike along the Stoll trail will usually result in Calypso Orchids.

When backapcking, I carry a 6'6" 2 piece Medium Light spinning rod ( Cabelas) and a Shimano 2000 series spinning reel w/front drag, spooled with 8 or 10 # test Trilene XT.
