MODIS Imagery of storm runoff.

A huge storm hit the UP and Northern WI, NE MN Saturday night. Here is MODIS imagery of runoff along the shore of Superior.

First, good for you following the request to use seperate spools of line for the Lake and inland lakes. You stand a better chance of catching a pike in an inland lake than a trout from Superior shore fishing, IMO. Which end of the Island?

UPDATE: US41 to Houghton is now open. Keweenaw and Houghton Counties are open for business.

Monday Update: Once again, tremendous flooding in Houghton Co has caused the closure of US41 south of Houghton. But everyone is getting through to Copper Harbor. Take M38 west from Baraga to M26 and then up to Houghton. Or take US41 to Chassell and take the Painesdale Rd northwest to Dodgeville. Tur...

UPDATE: We have heard that a detour is now posted at US41 in Chassell. Follow the detour to Dodgeville and then to Houghton and then on to Copper Harbor.

UPDATE: We have confirmed with the local sheriff that there are no posted detours for the closing of US41 at Houghton. But there is a good route to Copper Harbor. At Baraga, take M38 west to M26 and 26 north to Houghton. Or watch for posted detours as conditions change today.

Spoke to a friend in houghton this AM, he said he has not seen damage like this ever. 4"-7' of rain. Wonder how the Island faired?

The SS America is seen frequently by folks who take the Voyageur II to Isle Royale. The America went down on June 6th, 1928. Info about the America.

I have bought 2 person meals, opened them at home, mixed the contents well, placed them in a vacumn bag and sealed them. No problems. I have also done as Mr. Ingo has. Split them in the field, using the existing package (after removing the little packet) and put the rest in a Feezer Ziplock for the ...

I wonder if this is the reason my filter (MSR Miniworks) clogs when filtering seemingly clear water from Superior.
