Re: Logistics of helicopter work on IR

On my trip on the island from the 17-24th, twice I came upon a pretty squirrely section of boardwalk, after hiking past it and thinking that would be a good boardwalk for the trail crews to replace, a trail crew of 4 to 6 people came from the opposite way I was hiking and then within twenty minutes,...

Re: Bug updates?

I was on the island from 17th to the 24th. Black flies only noticeable when I was at the Feldtmann fire tower. Skeeters were ever present! Some days were better than others. I had mostly dry weather for the last 5 days so that helped a bit. However I found myself using the preferred backwoods deodor...

Re: Rough weather in the BWCA-did IR get hit?

I was on the island from Friday 6/17 until Friday 6/24. There were some nasty storms that moved in on Sunday evening, the 19th. right after sunset. You could kind of feel it building up all day. The day started out with calm and fog on the bay, then it was partly cloudy to mostly cloudy and breezy a...

Re: Fishing Potential Questions

Moskey has produced some lake trout and northern. We casted to any weeds or structure or dark spots we could find. back of the bay and shoreline areas were better than out in the open bay.

LOL! I just checked out the new updated website, and to my surprise, they used a photo of them loading a boat on the deck of the Ranger, and it is of my truck and boat! Too cool!

That is a compilation of video i have shot over the last few visits. Glad you enjoyed it! Hey, no kidding! I was kind-of hoping it was put together by someone here. Thanks very much for all your ISRO videos; I watch them about once a week. One question: in one scene, you are doing some tripod work ...

Fish Pictures from June Trip

Here are some photos of the monsters that lurk in the waters of Isle Royale National Park . Our trip was in the first week of June. Fishing was slower this year (150Total) than last year (191Total), but the weather was behind 2-3 weeks and the weeds hadn't filled in much at all yet. The big ones wer...
