Re: Feldtmann Loop Fishing

Does anyone have any idea of the kind of fish you can catch in Siskiwit Bay? Any tips on spots to go besides the dock? I have bushwhacked to Halloran and the pike fishing was fast and furious. I fished the NW side of the lake and literally had a follow or caught a pike on every cast using Miller Wob...

Feldtmann Loop Fishing

Hello! I was hoping to gather all the fishing info I could for these locations. Also is it possible to catch trout or walleye? - Lake Halloran - Siskiwit Bay (staying at Siskiwit Bay campground) - Washington Creek - Feltmann Lake I've read the pinned fishing chart so I'm expecting a lot of pike. I k...

Siskiwit Bay Campground Pics?

Anyone have any pics of the Siskiwit Bay Campground? Would also be really helpful if someone had a picture of the campground map like this Image

Re: Light and Cheap, under $20

Great ideas for the large pad Ingo.

Farkle dice game $10 1oz. This one might not be essential, but it's the perfect light game to bring on a trip. Comes in the same size as a film canister.

Re: First Timer's Gear List

Appreciate the shovel suggestion, I'll be in a large group so I'll make sure one of us is carrying one. As far as light items go, my paracord was definitely not correct. Ha. It came to 4 oz. My stove and rod are weighed correctly though. I use Kelty Triptease Lightline, 1 oz per 50 ft. Works great a...

Re: First Timer's Gear List

I'm not going to say 1 canister of fuel is fine and be responsible for you running out :? , but last year end of May, 7 days, oatmeal and Mt House, I used about 1/2 an 8 oz canister with an MSR micro rocket. If you feel you need to bring more, take a 4 oz canister as the extra/backup. Gear, well th...

Re: 1st Trip to Isle Royale

Thanks for the tips everyone. :D , I've purchased the ferry tickets so we're all set. I think I have a better understanding for fishing now that I've checked out a few threads. I'll make sure to check out Rainbow Cove and the locomotive by Island Mine. Can't wait!

It's actually going to be my bachelor party and I'll be going with 9 of my closest friends. I've already put in my group reservation. Here's our schedule. DAY 1 Wa...
