A note on the Pungo 120, When it is loaded with gear even the smallest waves will pass over the stern. You will want a full skirt and the hatch may leak a little. Try loading it with 50lbs or so in the boat and take it out on a local trip and have a look for yourself.

The left over white ashes form the twig stove mixed with a small amount of water will clean your pots and stove like new.

One option is to ask for a cross country permit for zone 21 or 22 and head out on the feltman trail untill youre tired find a spot to camp and return in the morning.

Don't forget, boaters sometimes get pretty tired of obnoxious backpackers who hang out on the dock all day. docks are for boats. Imagine if a group of boaters hung out at your shelter picnic table all afternoon.
