OK, here we go. I called Houghton and the ranger kindly emailed me this link. Were headed over on Monday 5/22. Time to start watching the forecast.

Re: Current Weather Conditions for Isle Royale are on the Web
This link is dead. These were nice forecasts as they were (as noted above) what you would find at the ranger stations. Anyone have an updated link? Couldn't find one at a glance. I did a quick Google and got this, but there's no reports currently published: http://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?s...

They were well stocked as of last week. I don't think it will be a problem for you. I didn't see sandwiches specifically but I didn't look for them either.

No. I just got back and didn't see any. When I was getting my park pass and filing my itinerary in Rock Harbor last week a guy came in and claimed he saw one. He was on the trail into Lane Cove in one of those swamps you pass as you are getting closer to the campground. He told us that the he and th...

Re: 2010 Trip Log - Add your planned itinerary here!
I'm leaving Monday 31st. and returning on Mon. June 7th. I have no specific planned itinerary yet as I am going to let the weather determine this. I have hiked the island 7 times canoed it 3 times and have been to every campsite except Grace, Beaver, Huginnin, and Hay Bay. I have hiked 90% of the tr...

Re: Belle Isle Journals by Carl TerHaar
Where would one obtain a copy of said book? How many years of entries were compiled? In other words, in what year were the journals collected from Belle Isle? My brother and I may have contributed to this a few years back.

Yeah we dealt with this guy too. He stole our pot brush from campsite #1 @ North Desor about 5 yrs. ago. He pestered us the whole time we were there. We've also had a squirrel chew through my wife's pack at Lake Richie back in 2000, and in that same year our trip was almost ruined on our first morni...

Re: Backpacking Lunch
First day on the trail I usually take a sub from Subway. A word of caution here...My Scandinavian brother (http://isleroyaleforums.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=47) once did this at the trailhead before we climbed into the Wind River Range. He put down a meatball marinara (bad choice) a...

My Miniworks is about 11 yrs. old (and still works great BTW) and only fits the large Nalgene bottles. Unless there has been a serious redesign lately or an added adapter I would have to guess the answer to your question is no.

Re: Favorite Freeze Dried Flavor
Actually, I don't think I've ever had a Mountain House meal that wasn't good. I would almost agree with this. I haven't found a dinner that wasn't good. However, we snapped into a blackberry cheesecake once that looked and tasted like it was straight from a Daisy Farm privy. We've also had a banana...
