Re: July 3/4 in Campgrounds Near Windigo
Hugginin is small, so that could be full.
Feldtmann is a hike and will probably be ok.
Washington Creek is big but easily accessible, so it could be busy, but I still think you'll find a shelter.
Bottom line: The 4th isn't awful at Isle Royale.

Re: Combined Ferry Schedule - 2020?
Yes I just unsticking the post because it was for 2019. It's still out there and I would say the views indicate that it was a popular item. if you're up for making a new one for 2020, I would encourage it!

Re: June Trip Feedback
13 mile days! Wow, you're motivated. That's too long of days for me. Since you're going into Windigo and out of Rock you don't have many other options, though. The nice part is the Greenstone is an easy hike. The hike out of Hatchet Lake on Wednesday morning will be an ass-kicker though. Be prepared...

Re: Forum problems (as of 18 February, 2020)
I can pull up the site on my Chrome browser at work with no issue. However, my home browsers (Firefox and Chrome) throw an error message: You are running an unsupported PHP version. Please upgrade to PHP 7.1.3 or higher before trying to install or update to phpBB 3.3 I have not idea what that means...

Forum problems (as of February 25th, 2020)
All, I tried to update the forum software the other day, and it blew up spectacularly. I'm slowly restoring the site, trying to figure out what went wrong. All the basic functionality should work, but if you find something that DOESN'T WORK, post it in this thread, and I'll prioritize it. UPDATE Feb...

Re: Changing my userid
Moderators, is there any way to combine my former userid “bobcat” with my current persona “bobcat1 “? I had to register under a different name when I realized I didn’t know my password and my email on file was obsolete at a prior employer. Just curious. I would rather just have bobcat as my moniker...

Re: Will I need a sleeping bag liner?
I don't use a sleeping bag liner. I bring a 30 degree bag to Isle Royale no matter what time of year. I sleep in some long underwear and a hat. Good to go!

Re: 26' waves on the Lake
It was quite the storm. Here in Duluth, we had lots of shoreline flooding and damage.
