Their comment regarding Isle Royale reminding them of the fjords of Scandinavia is spot on. I've made several trips to Finland for work and every time I'm there I feel like I'm near Lake Superior.

Sigh. That story excellently described all those areas on IR well, and made me miss the hell out of that place.
Glad to hear that there are some loon chicks near Lane Cove!
Also, the picture that is captioned "Sunset on Siskiwit Bay" looks like it may be one of the Todd harbors instead?
