ouch! intresting how the boat in sites are still open, wonder why those ones and not the paddle sites? We are debating a kayak trip there next year, hope there isnt much damage and they can get back open soon.

I recently completed three days of hiking in the BWCAW (Daniels Lake Trail, Border Route Trail and South Lake Trail). Due to the heavy amounts of snow (it had to melt this spring) and lots of rain this spring and summer, those trails have one to two feet of water on the trail in places and you had to either get wet or go around (bush wack). There are also lots of tics. I took 31 of those s.o.b.s off of me on my second day out. Had to use a knife on one to get it all out. Voyaguers is just north and west of the area I was at.
