The Everlasting Tortilla

Post by upnorthjeeper »

I knew they'd last a while, this was pretty interesting!
Tortillas are an incredibly versatile and easy-to-pack bread. They hold up well in your pack and can be used for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We’ve dined on tortillas with everything from breakfast tacos to ‘sandwich’ wraps to quesadillas – not to mention the more traditional tacos and burritos. But which tortilla holds up best on the trail?

The best way to fix a flour tortilla is to lay it in hot pan for about five seconds and slide it around so it doesn't burn. This makes the tortilla not only warm but also soft. It makes it easier to wrap around your favorite meat and veggies without cracking the tortilla.
