Incorporate this alcohol powder into a hops and malt flavored Fizzy or Alka-Seltzer tablet and voilĂ , back country beer! :D

58% alcohol by weight? Well, Everclear is like 95% alcohol by weight. In a 2-3 oz Platypus flask you can carry a lot of "juice" for not much weight. I'll still go for the extra weight of a good brandy or Irish Whiskey. It's not all about the buzz.

That was the root of my original concept years ago. . . A beer flavored Fizzy and a 1/2 ounce of Everclear.

What ever makes your duckie quack. I'm a fan of Lagavulin but my brother an I can both agree on Tullamore Dew. So, that's what we normally pack. However, he did recently introduce me to a "Red Hot" flavored Bourbon liquor that's a real eye-opener. Not sure I'd want to carry it on a quiet week of backpacking. Not exactly a good choice as a mellow introspective drink.
