I just noticed this alert on the Isle Royale National Park website and thought that perhaps I should post it in the transportation section I am not sure how long it has been in effect or how long it will be in effect. However, the alert reads as follows:
Gasoline Supply for Boaters at Rock Harbor:
The Lodge has run out of gasoline. Boaters needing gas between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday can purchase gasoline at Mott Island. On Saturday/Sunday, boaters need to contact the lodge, the lodge staff will meet them at Mott to pump fuel.
Feel free to check out more details at:

Re: ROCK HARBOR LODGE OUT OF GAS
Good to know. I wonder if this has been a problem all season, or just an isolated incident?
I can depart GP, circumnavigate the island, and return without having to refuel. My outboard-powered companions are not so lucky, so this may affect our upcoming trip.
