I just did a field repair to my pack to keep gear from pushing on my back.My daughter dicovered the core strands of paracord are useful as make shift fishing line :) I carry paracord myself ......just thought I would toss another option in ;).Paracord is hard to beat!

I'm using PMI Utility Cord (www.pmirope.com). List an approximate tensile strength of 400 lbs. 50' length of it too.

Weight comes in at 99 gram (which is about 0.22 lbs).
