We camped at Moskey and West Chicken bone week of Jun 29 this year. Both we're totally unique places. Chicken bone has both some lake sites and campsites off the lake with more privacy. Good for just the two of you.
Moskey, although we didn't really explore much for campsites, did have many shelters (i don't think any at Chickenbone). We found a nice non-sheltered site good for 1-2 tents just off the trail, maybe 30yds from the water.
Also, we didn't fish on our trip, but spoke with those that did at Chickenbone. We heard some good stories, and saw some incredible pics of their catch.
Only my first trip to IR, but from what I gathered, good fishing on the inland lakes, no fish on superior. But again my first trip. Good luck - we had an awesome time.
