I am planning on visiting Lane Cove this year and staying two night. Here's my question . . .
Should we hike there from Rock Harbor and use the layover day to hike to the Eastern end of the Greenstone and Lookout Louise OR
Should I take a water taxi to the Greenstone trailhead and hike to Lane Cove.
Another Lane Cove question

Re: Another Lane Cove question
I'm choosing the water taxi. It's a long hike going there and back in the same day. I don't have my map in front of me right now but guessing it's about 17+ miles round trip.

Re: Another Lane Cove question
I've camped at Lane Cove for two evenings and day hiked out to Lookout Louise. I did not go down to Tobin Harbor. The view from Lookout Louise is great! So I hiked somewhere between 14 and 15 miles that day. Left early to avoid the heat of late afternoon, but still had some from noon until somewhere between 1 and 2. The early morning hike was cool and beautiful. Still remember it fondly. There were lots of grasshoppers during the hike back.
