Shore fishing Chickenbone, Richie, McCargoe, and Moskey

Post by kirkl »

I'm not much of an angler, but my Dad is planning to bring a telescoping pole on our backpacking trip and fishing from the shore. Any tips or advice on shore-fishing from Chickenbone, Richie, McCargoe, or Moskey? Any advice here would be very much appreciated, or even if just share what kind of catches or success rate you've experienced at those locations.

Thanks!

If your dad wants to fish Moskey or McCargoe, he will need a MI license. I have caught northern from the dock at McCargoe (in the Spring).

There is good info if you go through the threads here about shorefishing.
