Making kayaking on Supperior look like childs play

Post by Lucky Chicken »

Making kayaking on Supperior look like childs play, so this guy has to have a big cockpit... it would take a biger pair than mine to want to paddle all the way across the open ocean dodging hurricanes.

Wow. Don't know weather to be impressed or worried about his sanity. Looks like he's going to make it though. Good read. thanks for sharing.

You should read the book "Alone at Sea," which chronicles Hannes Lindemann's solo-paddle across the Atlantic Ocean in the mid-1950's. He actually did it twice, once in a dugout canoe, and the other in Klepper folding kayak. An absolutely fascinating read.

The photographer from the NG article was also a major character in Joe Kane's great book Running the Amazon. That book is quite a paddling adventure too, and a wonderful read.
