The Isle Royale Trip Calendar is an easy way to view who else is on the island and where! Maybe you can bump into someone...just check the calendar! It's easy to post your trip, and view the stats:
1. Go to app.php/calendar, or click the first "(?)" icon on the top-right forum menu bar (mouse over it and it will say "calendar;" I hope to get a new icon on it shortly.)
2. Click the "New Calendar Event" button at the top of the calendar month.
3. Fill out the form. Be sure to put some brief details in the "Title" line, as this is what shows up on the calendar's main screen.
4. Be sure to complete an entry for every day of your trip. (e.g., "day 1" on the 22nd of May, "day 2" on the 23rd of May)

5. Click the "Submit" button, and your entry will be automatically added to the calendar.
As the calendar populates with users' trips, you can see who will be where on the island...and maybe you'll bump into someone you know from the forums. So start logging your trip today:

Unfortunately no. As cool of a feature as this is, I couldn't find a way to get a calendar to plug-in to the forum software. So currently, they are to different systems. Sorry
I posted a date of my trip on June 19 (Jerry) and that is an error. mY other entries are correct. Unfortunately, I could not figure out how to delete the June 19 entry. Sorry.
I wasn't entirely familiar with the calendar setup when I posted the first day of my trip, so it doesn't have any itinerary attached to it. I couldn't figure out how to edit the entry, so feel free to block the two dates that I placed and I'll make a new posting on the calendar, now that I understand how it works.
(The two events that I placed in error are titled "Jason and Hannah's Honeymoon").
Fonixmunkee - I attempted to post our trip a few days back and didn't get the system figured out. (It's a "Senior" thing!) I did post our itinerary under Buckeye "Seniors" Final Itinerary, 9/9-9/18. If you care to mess with it and want to list us in the calendar, that's fine with me. This Web Board has been great !!
Approved a bunch of calendar entries on the Trip Calendar (there were a LOT)! Check it out and see if any other forum people are going to be on the island when you are!
Well, I tried to post on the Calendar...hope I did right. Anyhow, forum members viewing calendar for Aug 2014, know that West end trip is me and my 15 year old son, plus a few others perhaps. so if you see us on the trail, say hi.
I was trying to post in the calandar but keep getting errors so I'll have to post here.
Trip dates are Fly in Sun June 22nd and fly out Sun June 29th.
I'll be taking the float plane in and out nice and early coming and going so I'll have plenty of time on the first day and plan on spending the last night Right in Washington Creek. Not sure how the bushwhack to Hay Bay will go, but will likely be attempting it.
