Are fires still permitted in fire pits only?

Hoping there's no ban with the lack of rain we've received this summer..

We've had pretty regular rains up here all summer and I have heard of no bans. The Greenstone paper lists the campgrounds where fires are permitted. Some have fire rings, some have grills on posts and a community fire ring.

what are the park regulations on fires when conditions are normal when camping off trail and away from established sites? Can you build a fire circle? Places like Yosemite don't allow that any longer - use those you find or don't build a fire is the rule there.

Fires are only permitted within designated fire rings or grills at camp grounds that have them. A few years ago, some folks decided to have a fire at Wood Lake CG, which does not have a fire ring or grill. It was early in the season when this occured and the NPS was able to figure out who it might have been and those who had the fire were fined.

these are places I am along my route - not sure where I will actually stop, but having access to fire rings or shelters (depending on weather) would be useful to know. I am pretty much set for 4 season weather changes, but if I can find a cozy camp site with fire I'd prefer that over pitching my tent and sipping soup out of the JetBoil cup.

Lake Richie - no fire, no shelters
Moskey Basin - no fire, 6 shelters
Daisy Farm - no fire, 16 shelters
