Queen to delay first trip
It's official. We have canceled the first trip set for Monday May 12. The NPS still hasn't gotten to the island yet to open anything up or to assess conditions on the ground. A Coast Guard cutter is going to break open Rock Harbor to Mott Island tomorrow for the Ranger III and then the NPS will make an assessment. We might and probably will have to cancel for Friday May 16. But we're waiting for a report directly from the island. We're calling all who scheduled, but you're welcome to call as well and talk to Miranda, our office manager.

So the Ranger 3 is out and about then? Hope after all,that spring is on the way! Bummer on the cancelations, know the feeling!
