Memorial Weekend Fishing

Post by sachsjoh »

What can we expect to catch during our hike around the East side? Best way to prepare the fish?

Feldtmann Lake Northern Pike should be congregating in the shallows and have caught this time of year. Have also caught Lake Trout from pier at Siskiwit Bay campground.
Shore Lunch Pan fry the Northern Pike fillets (Y-bone removed). And grilling of Lake Trout (Poached in seasoned broth if no grill available)

Oh my God, I'd be lost on Isle Royale right now. Out of the woods brain freeze without thinking......oopsss

and I was wondering why post was not answered yet. There isn't much to say about trail connected fishing on the East side.

Lakes Ritchie and Chickenbone should offer good pike fishing.
