Re: Huginnin Cove question
Probably anything other than Site 1, which is closest to and most open to the lake (from the west/northwest). But that also makes it the prime site , and it's farthest away from the others. Sites 2 and 3 are close to the trailhead going the other direction, and set back some. Don't recall the details of the others (only stayed in #1) but they're across the cove from #1 and may be somewhat exposed to weather from the east/northeast.

Re: Huginnin Cove question
Here. I'll draw you a picture!
I also have photos of all of the sites at Huginnin, if you're REALLY wanting to plan your trip. The last time I was there it was empty, so I took advantage and grabbed a few shots.
Oh, ok, I didn't draw that. It's a photo of the Huginnin map. Like Ingo notes, #1 is the most exposed, but even then it's fairly protected. It depends on the direction of the storm/where the low pressure zone is.I also have photos of all of the sites at Huginnin, if you're REALLY wanting to plan your trip. The last time I was there it was empty, so I took advantage and grabbed a few shots.

Nice pics Tom.Nice to be able to check it all out. There were people there when we went through last year.We thought that loop was interesting. Lots to look at I loved the boulder section just up from camp, the log cabins...mines all cool fun stuff! Wish we could have had more time, but places to be .

Re: Huginnin Cove question
I'm arriving on the 8th of June and hiking out that morning. After this trip, I'll have hiked all the trails in the western portion of the island. I have three trails in the eastern area to do.

Well maybe we will run into you then....happy hiking!
We are doing a cleanup run ourselves, aways fun to knock off another new trail.
