I usually enjoy an evening adult beverage. Beer is the first choice, but i know way to heavy. One year on a short trip my Lady friend had me bring a box of wine. Ridiculous too heavy (I guess unless we drink it the first night)

Any suggestions on how to carry a nightly beverage with weight in mind ...

Thank you. Is it nicer doing the internal lake route or the external Lake Superior route? Are either or less flies or less people etc? I assume it is cooler on the Superior side as well.

We are arriving from Grand Portage and have Mon Aug 10th through Sat Aug 15 - so 5 nights and 6 days - taking the Voyageur ll.
It was suggested to us that a nice route during this time of year (that may also be less crowded) is McCargoe Cove to Windigo.
