If you want a challenge, IncaRoads' route, McCargoe to Windigo is worth a try. The hike from N. Desor to Wash. Crk is long. I got my shoes/boots wet on the last leg of the hike. Wish I could do it again (I'm probably too old to do it again).

Dragonflies can take care of themselves (sometimes). Years ago, I was heading north on the Gunflint trail when one came into my car and hit me on the forehead. It decided to bite me and my head had one heck of a bump for several days. I still respect them, as a part of our kingdom.

I arrived on the Ranger late last June. There were numerous tent sites available after 3pm. You should be in good shape arriving earlier then that.

Also wonder if we'll be able to camp in our national forests and corps of engr. campgrounds this summer.

When I hiked down to Malone Bay, the grass and plant life in spots had grown above my shoulder (sometimes head). Be careful, but I would love to do that hike again (someday).

I hope we can go hiking and or camping this summer.
