Re: WE HAVE MADE IT BACK

MeganP-

I have done the Loop several times and I actually prefer to do it backwards compared to the counter clockwise direction many take. It seems to be a bit easier the first few days and you can take extra time at either siskwit or feldtman which is nice. Not to mention the views (or nonview) at ...

Re: How'd you get your screen name?

My screen name is pretty self explanitory. My name is Josh, last name Coburn. I am not a fan of seeing "Josh Coburn" in print (because I am a picky nerd) and as an author of a few books and travel articles I prefer seeing "J. Coburn" instead. Re: Nice to meet you all...

I must also say hello! I have been lurking for quite some time...since my last IR trip in 05 actually. It is nice to see the community is so good to one another and so tight knit. Re: Leaving For IR This Saturday!

I hope the trip is amazing...at its worst it cannot be too bad. Just being on the island is magical for me! I have a month wait from today and all packs are ready to go, food purchased, and everything is in place. Shoes are broken in, now just taking a few long walks withthe packs to get back into ...

Re: food help on first trip

The mountain house meals are great and always tasty! I am also partial to the cheap, lightweight, and always (ok, sometimes) yummy ramen noodles. Brings me back to the days when I was much poorer! lol. A must for me are twizzlers. Easy to grab on the trail, the package always gives the weight ...
