You can also use a sleeping bag liner but I would also assume you are giving yourself a nice sponge bath with some hot water at camp before crawling in your bag to sleep.

Could also do a backpacking hammock. Some of those are very lite and if you are camping in summer you could do away with your padding.

Yeah I got a Big Agnes with one of their inflatable air mattress. Its nice for sleeping on the ground but I use a hammock so I kinda slip off of it as I roll around. Thinking of getting a thinner thermrest type one and I like the idea of a camp chair.

You can also sleep in long underwear, use some foot booties, hot water bottles, etc in case you hit one of those cold, raining IR trips like my wife and I's last one.

What type of padding are you planning to use? Cold spots, even in a warm bag, will keep you awake.
