I used to live just north of there in Louisville. I'm not aware of many long trails there. Most of the hiking in Kentucky is in the Eastern part where Daniel Boone Forest and Red River Gorge are. The best way to fix a flour tortilla is to lay it in hot pan for about five seconds and slide it around so it doesn't burn. This makes the tortilla not only warm but also soft. It makes it easier to wrap around your favorite meat and veggies without cracking the tortilla.

I love jerky while camping. I need to learn to make my own because it can get expensive at the store. I find jerky makes a good meat for dinner and lunch and also snacks while camping and hiking.

I've had some tasty sandwiches from the store there. I've also packed a picnic basket and cooler which is ideal. I've also fished over there and cooked the fresh fish up with some herbs and vegetables we packed with us.

I usually filet mine and thrown them on the grill or in a pan with a little oil. If the fish aren't big enough to filet, I'll put the whole fish on there. Usually the skin separates from the eat and it's easy to pick out with a fork.
