Re: Bushwacking From Lookout Louise to Blake Point
Thanks for the reply. Do you recall the length of time it took you to complete the bushwack? This would really help me out. I assume you had a full pack....?

Re: Kayaking South Waters Info.
Gentlemen. Thank you for the replies. I had planned to coast into the west end of Tobin. I will have a partner in crime in this two man torpedo o' fun, we were considering either gaining permission to camp in the basin near the end of Tobin and simply pick the kayak and carry it the approx. quarter ...

Kayaking South Waters Info.
I would like some input on the waters on the south side of the Isle. May current itinerary may include: Day 1 Merrit Lane campground to the West end of Tobin Harbor. Day 2. Three mile or Daisy Farm to Moskey Basin. Is this a reasonable venture for someone with some kayaking experience. The smaller ...

Rock Harbor Restuarants
Anyone ever grab a bite in Rock Harbor at the restaurants operated there? I'd welcome some feedback. I understand the price will be higher, but what's the quality of chow there?

Re: Bushwacking From Lookout Louise to Blake Point
Of all the unemployed comedians in this world i get you guys. I'm pretty pumped for a challenge. I grew up in the mountains of West Texas and would go climbing 3 times during the year for a couple days, so i'm a bit overdue for a showdown with nature or perhaps testing my HMO. Its a good healthcare ...

Re: Bushwacking From Lookout Louise to Blake Point
Thanks for the replies fellas. Much to consider in the next couple months. Weather depending I may make the attempt; and yes i'll take pictures of the terrain and pass it along as to eliminate doubt. Maybe they'll name a trail after me........or just mark my grave!

Fishing pole and case worth the trouble?
Hello. Another question for the veterans of the Isle. Is bringing a pole and minimal tackle worth my carry weight? I plan on traversing the island and would like to fish, but read in many forums that off shore and inland isle fishing is not too productive. I do enjoy the tranquility of fishing. Has ...
