A note about my trip last week... When I was at Windigo, they put up a buoy, and closed the entrance to Washington Creek to ALL boat traffic, paddlers too. There is a nest, with eggs on a little bog island right at the entrance. They were close when I was there... That is all.

Just a few more notes...
The gas grill was great. Used it everyday. It has a nice side burner for coffee pot or pan cooking. I brought steaks, eggs, and brats... They supply the grill tools... tongs/spatula/large fork. You can bring pots and pans, or rent a mess kit from the store. The store is ...

The rangers were all quite excited about it. It was one of the first things our ranger mentioned to us when she met our boat at the dock. Looking forward to hearing more news about them...

Thanks! Taken from the end of the big dock at Windigo - Beaver Island in the center. GREAT sunset on my last night. Yes, taken with a 10-24mm using a ND grad filter.MikeT wrote:Nice! Is that looking toward Washington Island with a wide angle??

I just returned from 3 nights in the cabin. I used it as a base for day trips, and canoeing with my main "focus" on photography. Couldn't have asked for a better set up. Power to charge batteries for my various photography toys, process images on a laptop (which I did not bring). Other than the ...

Just returned from 4 days on the island. The rangers are excited about 3 new wolf pups that have been heard near Siskiwit :)
