What species of fish were you catching?
All northern pike, and the rumors are true, pretty much every cast had a fish or a bite.

Re: Feldtmann Loop Fishing

Reporting back to say we all made it to Halloran. We were given advice from the park ranger in Windigo to try a mile in from Siskiwit. It had rained the day before and there was swamp surrounding the lake. It wasn't very long though, we pushed though and made it. We were only there for about an hour ...

Re: Feldtmann Loop Fishing

Does anyone have any idea of the kind of fish you can catch in Siskiwit Bay? Any tips on spots to go besides the dock? I have bushwhacked to Halloran and the pike fishing was fast and furious. I fished the NW side of the lake and literally had a follow or caught a pike on every cast using Miller ...

Feldtmann Loop Fishing

Hello! I was hoping to gather all the fishing info I could for these locations. Also is it possible to catch trout or walleye? - Lake Halloran - Siskiwit Bay (staying at Siskiwit Bay campground) - Washington Creek - Feltmann Lake I've read the pinned fishing chart so I'm expecting a lot of pike. I ...

Anyone have any pics of the Siskiwit Bay Campground? Would also be really helpful if someone had a picture of the campground map like this Image

Re: Light and Cheap, under $20

Great ideas for the large pad Ingo.

Farkle dice game $10 1oz. This one might not be essential, but it's the perfect light game to bring on a trip. Comes in the same size as a film canister.

Re: First Timer's Gear List

Appreciate the shovel suggestion, I'll be in a large group so I'll make sure one of us is carrying one. As far as light items go, my paracord was definitely not correct. Ha. It came to 4 oz. My stove and rod are weighed correctly though. I use Kelty Triptease Lightline, 1 oz per 50 ft. Works great ...
