Re: Water treatment

That’s what I thought it’s actually .02 microns so I think I will stick with the platypus only it’s seems to have been sufficient for all these years although they say the cysts can take years to develop which is a little scary. But then again what isn’t scary these days!

Did I miss something noticed on park website today they are saying filtration AND chemical treatment for drinking water? We have been using a platypus for years 2 micron filtration thought that was sufficient. Just don’t remember both being recommended. Thoughts?

Hopefully not but the signs are not good, as a person with a September seaplane reservation it sucks but you have to look at the big picture and save lives. I hope...

Re: IR to begin phased opening

Sounds encouraging I know the Seaplane service is taking reservations for trips starting June 27 hopefully it all works out going to be very quiet with only private boats and seaplanes bringing visitors especially in Rock Harbor a very unique time to visit the island if the virus stays tamped down r...

Re: Little Todd to Huginnin Cove

I could be dead wrong and totally crazy but Little Todd to Huginnin Cove would be a absolute death march I’ve done those trails but in much shorter segments Enjoy the trip with shorter segments that’s why you come back a second third fourth etc time!

Re: Headed to island next week: advice?

Definitely do the Scoville point hike it’s beautiful and look for the Bald Eagle nest once you get on the final approach to the point it’s on the left fairly close to the trial. The nest is huge and built with large branches industrial strength! Would recommend taking the Tobin Harbour loop going ba...
