I really like my Outdoor Research gaiters, have worn them for about ten years with low trail shoes and they still look new. I keep thinking I’ll re-treat them with Nikwax but they’ve yet to need it. Mine are mid-calf but they also make knee-length styles.

I eat very little meat and don’t buy many premade dehydrated meals - too much salt, and I’m allergic to onion. So I dehydrate tons of vegs to bulk up the few I do buy, and also lots of fruit so no preservatives like a lot of purchased dried fruit. So I mostly eat thick veg soups, nut butters on tort...

I’m planning my first trip and excited to try this! I’m a big list-maker and even keep my budget on a spreadsheet, but haven’t had to plan specific mileage around ferries and such so it’s a bit intimidating. Thanks in advance!!
