If you're coming from the MN side, another option would be to head over to Windigo on the Sea Hunter III. It's not as dependent on weather as flying.
That would give you about 4 hours on the island.

One question is how wise it would be for someone who needs CPAP to go much further afield than Rock Harbor or Windigo. There are obviously lodging options with electricity at both sites.

In 2019 we encountered 3 moose at the RH campground, including a big bull that people call Bruce. There was evidence that at least one moose had bedded down in the tall grass just adjacent to where we pitched our tent.

Consider bringing a good-sized rain tarp. It makes cooking and relaxing in camp so much more pleasant on rainy days. Rain pants are another option to keep pants dry, and they cover the tops of boots and provide an extra layer of warmth when needed. My teenager is willing to pack them (though not always willing to use them).
