Would cover most everything and get some awesome trails and sites. IMO Moskey is best and the back half of minong and the Franklin to obijway sections of trails.

Canoe Rental
Does anyone know the status of canoe rentals from Rock Harbor in 2021?
I vaguely remember some additional restrictions/ no availability for covid last year but have not found the policy for this summer.

I saw that the Queen was nearly full (only one boat with more than 1 opening between 7/4 and 8/12. When options 1-3 are full, camp outside of campground per crosscountry ca...

12 is fine if everyone is practicing, but always have a backup plan is weather or wear and tear mess you up. Also don’t forget that little Todd and north desor do not have group sites.

Re: Queen info update
I was just on the Queens website and it was only saying the September 11 through the end of the year. Which aligns more with the RFQ and construction logic.

Re: Transportation from the island
You could go Rh to W that way you arrive on the ranger and fly home. Plane schedule is more fluid. Also there is a taxi the runs from copper harbor to Houghton. So the queen is possible too. We took that taxi once.

Re: Clothing in June
I hiked in wet shoes nearly everyday this summer. All from morning dew. I used a pair of gaiters in high school and bought another pair that I will be taking each trip.

Honestly, any side trip to avoid either of the Chickenbones is worth it. McCargoe or Richie are both great.
