Don't look like the Ranger we caught docking last year!
Edit: I checked and it was 4/24 when I caught the Ranger III on the Mott island camera last season.

Re: Eagle in flight on the Greenstone NE cam
Maybe we can get some $2-300k web cams for the island and say they're for "border security".

First Boat Seats
I'm loosing a couple paddlers on this trip for various reasons (medical / financial). We were all a mixed bag of friends/strangers on a 2week slow paced fishing / camping / paddling trip but as usual life always seems to catch up with a couple of people who want to go every season.

Re: Lake Halloran
There is no trail back, I wouldn't make the trip back without a GPS unless you are very confident with your map/compass land nav skills. The island is nothing but swamps, small ridges and beaver ponds everywhere and "Line of Sight / I think its in this direction" will get you turned around in the ...

Re: Who'd have thunk it?!?
Well, they have about 12days and a wake-up to figure it out!
However I feel that it's VERY unlikely they wouldn't be air lifting food boxes with a f'ing Kiowa baby bird ($$$$) if they weren't planning some sort of contingency for an alternative season.
