Re: Itinerary questions

The hike thru the group campsit...

Re: Suggestions for the new year
johnhens: are you talking about another subforum for those types of conversations? Or just a generic web page with a list to other sites? Also, I agree with Tom regarding the rank for Capt Don...he's now promoted to a special rank. That should give him some more visibility and wisdom points here ;) ...

fonixmunkee - I have no suggestions, other than I can't seem to get the automatic login to automatically log me in each time. That's pretty minor. LarryL: Windows or Mac? This is definitely worth it's own thread, since this will really help people with their 2009 trip plans.
And I'd like to be the second to say "YAY" to this news as well!

The McCargoe cove mist pics and evening pics nearly brought a tear to my eye. Man, do I love that place. Thanks so much for sharing.
BTW, I updated the link in your original post, since that's the link most people are going to hit.

Re: Isle Royale on Facebook
Well, I'll just jump out in front of this one and say this is probably a good idea for the younger generation on this board (myself included), but I'm sure some of the older folks are asking "what's a Facebook?" I'm looking your way, johnhens :P So here's some help . I think it's probably ...

Re: Unexpected Consequence of Using This Forum
Good-nature ribbing is definitely part of a friendship, regardless if it's mostly cyber-based. This story certainly doesn't surprise me about johnhens. And yes, Trish is a terrific person as well. I could tell instantly when I was lucky enough to meet them for lunch this past summer. I think we cove...

Re: Granite Gear Packs
Well, it's step up, at least. You're right, maybe it's not "made in the USA" per se, but it's better than where they used to do their manufacturing (China).

Granite Gear Packs
I just saw this in the local paper today: http://www.duluthnewstribune.com/event/article/id/109672/ Very cool. I've always been a huge fan of Granite Gear stuff (just ask anyone who's been on this board), so this should help me in my quest to get others to see how great these packs are. Plus, it's v...
