Re: 2021 VIP Trip

Sometimes you just nail the image, and are lucky as I was. This was all camera settings and sun was in right spot to shine on birds neck. As we say in Alaska, sometimes the bear gets you, sometimes you get the bear.I only use filters for sunrise/sunset and Milky Way when there is a lot of man made li...

VIP Photography Trip, 2021

Just returned from my 15 day Volunteer in Park Photography trip. I can not say enough about the NPS Rangers and volunteers that helped make this trip a success and an adventure that exceeded my expectations tenfold. From being transported around island on Ranger vessels to spots where I basecamped f...

Re: Tents in Shelters

Tents in Shelters

Having a discussion with a friend about tents in shelters. I can not seem to find if there are any regs/rules regarding tents in shelters. I have never really understood why folks do that. If its windy or rainy put your tarp across the front but if you want to use tent go to a campsite and leave she...

Campfires

just watched a video on youtube posted on June 19 of a group of folks with campfire going strong at Lake Richie. Correct me if I am wrong campfires are not allowed at Richie. It never ceases to amaze me the folks that do not know or do not care about the regulations. Who films themselves breaking th...
