Hatchet Lake to Chickenbone Junction just above WCB campsite is one of my favorite stretches of trail because of the views. But you seem to have hit a moose jackpot on that stretch too! Sounds like you had a great trip, thanks for the report.

The week was pretty windy, you were one of at least three kayak groups dodging around in Rock Harbor with revised plans because of the wind! I’m glad we got to meet briefly.

If you know what to look for and how to tell the difference between lightly used and worn out, garage sales can be a great source of bargain-priced gear. There is also a lot of junk sold too, so be sure you know what to look for or take a friend who know.
