Re: Visiting IR by private boat

Boaters are required to pay the daily fee or obtain on of two passes offered. You can buy a pass that covers your boat and everyone on board, or an individual pass that covers just you. This applies everywhere within the park boundaries, even when anchored-out. The chart you will want is NOAA#14976....

Re: IR declination

According to NOAA Chart 14976, deviation was 3º45'W in 2004 with an annual increase of 6'.

So, Tom is correct, just under 4º: 3º81'W.

The links provided all require logging in, or payment.

Duncan Bay

Did anyone get to Duncan Bay in 2009?

I saw a picture on this forum of the McCargoe cove dock being dismantled, so I'm thinking they may have gotten to Duncan Bay as well.

The Duncan Bay lakeside camp was one of my favorite places on the island. I'm going to miss that dock.

Re: cell phones

I have Verizon, and I was able to make calls while anchored in Duncan Bay.

I didn't try anywhere else.
