Re: Clothing in June
Thanks for all the feedback. I’m more of a Birkenstock’s guy instead of Crocs, but otherwise, I’ll put your suggestions to good use. I appreciate all the advice.

Re: Clothing in June
Maaaaannnn, you guys are great! Thanks for the timely feedback. If others have thoughts as well, I’d love to hear them. Can’t tell you how excited we are to get there. This trip was originally supposed to happen this past summer, but then the world changed. I’m looking forward to discovering the bea...

Clothing in June
Hey all, I’ll be making my first trip to IR from June 21-26 this coming summer. Any chance you can help me think through type and quantities of clothing? We’re hiking from Windigo to RH. We know the weather can vary quite a bit, but we obviously don’t want to carry gear/clothing we don’t need. Here’...

Backpacking Lower Peninsula
Hey all, with travel plans completely messed up this summer, can someone recommend a 2-3 day backpacking trip somewhere in the lower peninsula? Looking to keep the daily mileage between just 5-10 miles as one of our group members is a little less experienced. Thanks.
Re: Berries
My fault...producing berries. I figured we’d be much too early, but thought I’d ask.
Berries
Hey all, I think I know the answer to this, but I’ll ask anyways...I’ll be making my first trip to IR in late June. Any chance that there will be any berries in bloom at that point?

Re: Delicate question
Thanks for all of your quick replies. I’ve gotta say, you all in this forum are on top of things. Every question I’ve posted has drawn multiple responses, all well-conceived and well-intentioned. We leave 5 months from today. Can’t wait!

Delicate question
So this may be a ridiculous question, but I’ll be making my first backpacking trip in June. Six nights. Should I, um, plan on packing a pair of socks and a pair of undies for each night, or do you rinse and reuse? I completely understand if no one wants to touch this one.

Re: Best stove for new backpacker
Thanks for the feedback. We have a couple weekend trips planned to work out the bugs (hopefully metaphorical only, but we’ll prepare for the literal ones, also).

Best stove for new backpacker
I’m making my first trip to IR next summer. It will be my first real backpacking trip, so I have a lot of gear to buy. Any recommendations for a good stove? There will be a group of three of us and I imagine we’ll mostly be doing simple meals like the dehydrated options widely available. I appreciat...

Re: Success fishing?
Thanks for the tips. Planning to hike the GRT from Windigo to RH. If it’s convenient, we’ll have to look for Lake Ritchie.

Re: Toilet Paper
Thanks; my trip isn’t until end of June, so it sounds like I should be pretty safe, though I’ll certainly have some just in case. For the record, I’m really not a fan of the alternatives.

Toilet Paper
Sorry for what may seem like a ridiculous question, but I’ve read that each of the campgrounds have outhouses. Do they, um, come stocked with their own TP, or should I plan accordingly? Thanks for your help on this one.
