Was the lack of clear nights due to weather or did smoke from all the fires have an effect?
So many of our sunset all summer were hazy due to all the smoke in the atmosphere, so just curious what that did to your opportunities.

All I've seen mentioned is Intermediate, Chickenbone and Richie. That's all that are currently mentioned on the park's page too.

Re: 800 MHz radios
They use a trunked digital system in the 160-170MHz range. One can purchase a radio, but they can be expensive for a good one and then have to be programmed with their codes. It can be done though. I was just looking online and the cheap ones are in the $100 range. https://wiki.radioreference.com/i...

I'm unaware of any, nor would I advise it in such a remote place. YMMV though. Best of luck in the search.

Re: Horne Fire
I see snow is still on the Greenstone.
The imagery of all the fires going on right now is quite disturbing. The BWCA fires offer some perspective.

I'm in agreement with the advice you're getting from dcclark.Memphis901 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 12:23 pm Thanks hooky! From Moskey, what are your thoughts on getting back on the Greenstone at DF to see Mt Ojibway and Franklin? Worth the additional mileage to RH?

Re: 9/1-9/5 Windigo to RH Itinerary Help
