The Malone Tr. between the Greenstone and the L. Superior CG at Malone was overgrown in places when I did it. Enjoy!

Re: Am I overreacting about bushwhacking being a bad idea for an upcoming trip?
Getting lost on ISRO/NP twice means you might find L. Superior after awhile. Getting lost in a bog on the Minong Trail was interesting. We back tracked and found the trail. Hiking from Daisy Farm to the Greenstone going NW found myself off trail (believe it or not). The sun was to my south. Bushwack...

Blatnik bridge & Duluth
Is the Blatnik Bridge still being worked on? Also is the I-35 in Duluth still under construction/repair?

Re: Looking for Itinerary feedback
I guess I was lucky at Lane Cove. A husband/wife team came down and we decided to share the same site. (Nice folks, as usual at ISRO) No one else was there that night.

I like the creek (Wash. Crk.) next to the CG. Usually a spot to view the moose. Sometimes a bull looking for a date in September.

JerryB,
You know they are there. In early Sept. last year, one almost walked over me on my walk back to the Windigo store, from the campground.

I guess some fishing folks are nice and others not so. At Chippewa Harbor, I was given as much grilled fish as I wanted, by some nice folks. At the Windigo dock the same thing happened a few years ago.

Bobcat1, Athens, Ohio!
I enjoy camping in our Nat. For. campgrounds. Especially, in SuperiorNF. Also, COE (Cor. of Engr) are affordable. Not sure why state CGs are not charging similar prices. Being an old man, I get to pay 1/2 price in NF & COE CGs. I'm ready to go in 2023.

Have u ever met nicer folks, then at ISRO?
On my 8/30-9/4 visit, I had a great trip. Meeting some of the nicest folks ever on the island. I was given a short tour of the cabins. & I shared a shelter with some pleasant folks and they even rented a row boat and took me out to the nearby island with a shelter on it. More later.

The V2 appeared to be full when I went out on 8/31. The Washington Creek was full and I got the last shelter (#14) early that afternoon.

Re: Pregnant on Isle Royale
From August 31 until Sept. 4 there was a mother with a 2 and 1/2 year old and a two month old (nursing) on the west end (area). Next year might work 4 you (Gwen46). The 2.5 year old had a great time. I had a peak/a/boo with her several times. Children need places from ISRO NP, so do we.
