Roger that, but I thought Ranger leaves on Tuesday/Fridays from Houghton and returns on Wednesday/Saturday. So why would it be leaving IR on a Friday early in morning

Early this morning Pacific time I was on the site MarineTraffic Global Ship Tracker and it showed the Ranger heading SW by Mott in Rock Harbor. Anybody know why?

Padded Cells
Outdoor Research used to make padded cells to carry stoves, water filters, etc. They no longer carry them. Any ideas where they can be found now?

I have had resupply parcel delivered to me by Voyageur, but not knowing how much parcel would weigh to ship back home not quite sure how I would do that. I think I will talk to my local PO and see if I can buy postage for a 25LB parcel for future use. We will see.

Does anybody know if you can ship box of gear using Post Office from Rock Harbor Lodge. I know you can mail letters.

A trip I have done a number of times when short on time is water taxi to Moskey, then onto W/Chickenbone or McCargoe Cove, both beautiful, then Daisy and then Rock. Not a lot of miles but you rally get immersed in all aspects of the island. A great trip

Thanks everybody for responses. On previous trips when using water taxi coming over on the Ranger I have looked for single hikers to see if they wanted to share taxi to Moskey if I found somebody interested I would tell lodge they screwed up my reservation, that it was for two not one.
