Re: 2022 ISRO Attendance

However recently I've seen it drop to 3rd in that list with American Samoa and North Cascades having lower attendance. I looked up the stats for these. For the recent years of 2019, 20, an...

Re: Rock Harbor to Chippewa Harbor in one day
I'm mentioning this in case you were relishing the prospect of the 17 mile walk from RH to Chippewa!) On a related side note, I'd like to challenge anyone to step off the Voyageur II at Rock Harbor and then beat it to the Malone Bay campground, 33 miles distant, for a pickup the next day. Or maybe ...

Re: Queen Done For the Season
They put some Queen IV passengers on the Ranger II (from RH to mainland) this morning and have chartered a bus to take them from Houghton to Copper Harbor when they get in. The Queen IV went out early this morning and just arrived at RH (9 am) to bring a load back, and plans to make a second run th...

Queen Done For the Season
The Queen canceled for the second day in a row this morning and called it season for trips to the island. In an emotional speech this morning, Ben and John let us all know that due to some needed repairs, the Queen can't sail in small craft advisory. The decision was made after conferring with the p...

Re: 5 Day Menu
I started reading that website quite a few years ago and realized that you could dehydrate just about anything. It all comes down to how long it lasts and how well it rehydrates. I ate my last freeze dried entree around 2014. Full Disclosure: I still buy the MH freeze dried ice cream.

5 Day Menu
I just shut off the dehydrator about 3 hours ago. There are 3 of us and a majority of the meals came out of dehydrators (the units) Breakfasts: some bars and instant oatmeal for 2 of us, but my son is eating sweet potatoes and sausage from the units. Lunches: Beef jerky and various fruit leathers fr...

Very cool. We leave Wednesday to catch the Queen and we're hoping that we have something similar to experience.

Re: Itinerary feedback - RH out and back to RH
I agree. If you don't take a zero day, that would also let you spend your last night in RH and do the Stoll trail that morning before jumping on the boat.
