Just watched the project trailer. It looks like it will be a spectacular video. I hope he manages to raise all the money he needs to finish this project. I will definitely be buying this one. There is some really nice time-lapse footage here.

If you pledge $25 now you will receive the DVD free once it is released. There are other rewards as well, listed on the right side of this page. Thank you.

Best wishes for success George.

Your statement that says you plan to trade in your kayak for a boat with outboard motor has my curiosity piqued. That would mean you will only be accessing the 50 lakes on foot. Will you be using the boat to maneuver to various Lake Superior shoreline points close to several of the lakes to better offer access to them?

My wife and I met George at McCargoe Cove at the end of September. He was staying at the front shelter and had solar panels and other gear out charging in the sun near the dock and I started talking to him about his rig and he said it was setup for him and he did not know all the details (I was asking him about the solar to battery charger and laptop converter). I then asked him to take our picture and he did. I did not recognize him at the time. We walked down to Chickenbone West that day and he came walking by in the evening with a small pack towards the Greenstone. The next morning he came walking back in the morning and we talked. He said he spent the night at Richie to take video of the sunrise and that's when I put it together and introduced myself. We talked for along while. A very nice guy. The turn on the whole event was that morning I woke up and took video of the full sunrise and ended of recording a single wolf howling about 20 times during the end of the sunrise. I asked if he heard it thinking it would be perfect for the movie, but he did not. The wolf must have been on our side of the ridge. So, I ended up getting footage that would have been great for him. I only had my single CCD camera so, it is not film quality. Wish I would have had my film camera and I could have shared it with him for the movie.

I have created a tshirt representing the Isle Royale Ecosystem in a single snowflake, now available on Etsy.
Go to the following link to see it and order.

I received my T-shirts and the pattern looks even better than the picture. The design is very detailed. I ordered them on a Saturday evening and I received them on the following Thursday.
Nice job George!

I wanted to pledge $25 so I could assist with the project and be one of the first in line to get the DVD. I tried clicking the pledge button, but just as it says on the site, the pledging period appears to have ended. Does anyone know when the DVD is expected to be due out and if I can pre-order it in advance? Thanks.

Thanks for updating this thread with that link. That video...sure makes me anxious to get out there. The part where he's talking while paddling Siskiwit is just gorgeous...and makes me so stoked to be in the *exact* same area in a month!

I'm more of a hiker than a boater, but that looks like it's going to be quite a great watch.
