Freep Film Festival Double Feature

Post by 3MTA3 »

Besides me, who was there Sunday 4/3 at the DIA to see the double feature? I'm curious about your thoughts on the films, Q&A with the panel, et cetera.

I was not there but I saw George Desort's "Fifty Lakes One Island" when it first came out. I enjoyed it but it turned out to be something other than what was billed or expected. It wasn't really a documentary but more like a piece of art. What did you think of both or either film? Glad to see Rolf & Candy Peterson were there. How much time was allocated for Q&A?

Both films were good. Fifty Lakes was different than I expected, but I still enjoyed it immensely. There were many gasps in the crowd with the scenery, especially the night/ northern lights scenes. The Q&A afterwards took 30-45 minutes, to my best guess. Between the film & that she found out there's beer on the island, I may have convinced the significant other to join me for a (short) trip.
