so what exactly was his plan once getting to the island??

They were just going to stay at the Holiday Inn in Windigo. :P

I think it's great this person was safe (with gear) and had a plan, but I think it's foolish this person didn't listen to everyone in Grand Marais. A big shout-out to the freighter personnel for doing the right thing, too.

You have to wonder how the conversation went after they told him they would be dropping him off in Sault Ste. Marie. I have to wonder if the jet ski was rented by the hour or the day.

Haha! Yea. Well thank goodness everyone is ok. Maybe next time he will listen to everyone giving him advice.

I'm heading to Windigo on my waverunner next week. Sure hope the fog is all gone by then. :shock:
