Thank you both for the added comments, all makes sense. We'll probably tweak accordingly. Thanks again!

Re: First Time Visitor, Looking for Itinerary Advice
On our first trip to IR (1984?) we did almost exactly what you have planned. Worked great.
We canoed Tobin Harbor and did the hike up to Lookout Louise
We took an excursion to Raspberry Island (I think this was a Ranger-guided hike).
We hiked to Scoville Point.
We took the boat to Daisy Farm and Hiked back via Mt. Franklin
A funny thing happened on the boat to DF. I think we were on the Voyageur. As we were getting close to DF, we didn't seem to be going in the right direction. I asked a crew member if we were stopping at DF. He said no. I assured him that we had book a shuttle to DF. He said "let me talk to the captain". He runs up to the bridge and we abruptly changed directions and docked. I've sometimes wondered what would have happened if I hadn't been paying attention. There isn't a good "Plan B" when your staying at RH and the boat is taking you way past where you can hike back in a day.
