Intern for pollinator study for 2022

Post by johnhens »

This was on the NPS page:

We are seeking a Scientists in Park Intern to develop a community science program focused on pollinators to launch in summer 2022: https://rock.geosociety.org/eo/viewJob.asp?jobID=3099
The goal of the program is to engage park visitors to collect pollinator data and contribute to long term research goals of Isle Royale. Community science programs are new to Isle Royale, so the Intern will focus on collating baseline data on iNaturalist.org, designing an iNaturalist project page for Isle Royale, develop resources to train community scientists, and working with researchers to develop best practices for identifying species in iNaturalist and managing data.
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent legal resident between the ages of 18 and 30 years old, inclusive, or veterans up to age 35. The position would start in January 2022 and be based in Houghton, MI.
